The Impact of Red Ribbon Week
More than 28,000 students in North Texas were impacted by powerful drug and alcohol prevention programs.
In the world of education, each year October 23-31 is known as Red Ribbon Week; a national campaign dedicated to keep students drug-free. For our Motivational Experiences, this particular week is the equivalent to The Big Game in February for American football.
Our incredible assembly speakers Keith Davis, Gabe Salazar, Tory Gant and Clarence Lee traveled across North Texas, delivering powerful and purposeful messages to K-12th grade students. By sharing their personal life journeys, students learned the importance of saying, “YES!” to their dreams and goals, and “no” to destructive choices such as drugs (including vaping and opioids) and alcohol.
What Educators Are Saying:
“Our 6th graders have not had a complete school year since 3rd grade. They have had some difficulties getting back into a normal routine. Gabe Salazar and his unique presentation made them aware of what they can do for themselves now and in the future.” -Fort Worth ISD
“We are all trying to get back into a healthy rhythm. This presentation motivates students to choose to behave differently. It also addressed overcoming issues at home which related to what some students are experiencing. Keith Davis is the best. Every time he comes to my school the kids are changed for the better. He combines excitement with real talk that engages everyone. This assembly was easily the best part of Red Ribbon Week!” -Fort Worth ISD
“This program helped our students see their value, and the importance of their decisions. Many of our veteran teachers said they’ve sat through so many presentations, and this one was impactful, memorable and they’d love to see it again! Our students talked about Tory all day and how great his presentation was.”-Sunnyvale ISD
“We have a campus that is classified as 80 percent low socioeconomic. Among our student body, we encounter a lot of attendance issues, home-life issues, drug affiliated issues, etc. This program spoke to so many of our students on a very personal level.” -Irving ISD
“We have many students who struggle to envision their future. We have students who are faced with peer pressure to use substances. We have students who are just dealing with so many challenges at home as well. The speaker hit on so many of these topics and challenged the students to imagine more for themselves.” -Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD
“Clarence Lee was an enthusiastic and energetic presenter. The students remained engaged throughout the presentation, and he was in-tune with his audience. The message was simple yet strong!” -Garland ISD
“He was real with them about his own challenges in his life. His presentation was on their level, and they could relate to what he was sharing with them. He explained how drugs can hurt them and their family. Administrators liked how he kept the students focused on what he was saying. It was an excellent presentation for all.” -Mansfield ISD
